Extremely funny and true. Unpacks the vitriol and poisonous theatrics of the job interview with some exceptionally hilarious lines. I laughed out loud several times. This piece would kill in a 10-minute festival. Produce!

Capturing the moment someone finds the love of their life, their purpose, is magical. Anyone who has been lucky enough to have the kind of moment Charis experiences in this one-minute gem will connect deeply with this play. I think it will also inspire others to open themselves up for their own ah-ha moment. Lovely stuff!

Through the brilliant use of negative space, both physical and textual, Marchant paints a vivid portrait of the anxiety, lies, and exhaustion that comes with relationships built around lies and deception. In just a page, there's so much to work with for a director and actors, and a lot for audiences to chew on.

What struck me about this complex one-minute play is the amount of ambiguity and feeling that churns under the surface. Emotions are rarely absolute--they are often woven with other, sometimes opposing emotions. Marchant understands this on a deep level which is what makes Good Boy so affecting and real.

This domestic declaration of independence is fun and funny, with a relatable character at the center. If you're looking for a charming monologue that will have the audience pulling for you, you should most definitely check this out!
