  • Debra A. Cole: After Happily Ever After

Princess is a hero to us all - just a girl doing her job with confidence and realistic expectations. Rachel has done it again with clever dialogue, real emotions, and fully realized characters - all in just five minutes!

  • Debra A. Cole: There Are No Closets in My Classroom

As a retired teacher who had kids come out to her every year, not like Luca, but beautifully none the less, this touched home. We live in a time that seems to be marching forward for our youth, and backward for so many others. I miss the classroom, not for the subject matter I taught, but for the ideas, compassion, and critical thinking the curriculum provided. Thank you, Nora, for giving a voice to so many frustrated teachers.

  • Debra A. Cole: TOMORROW

Same, girl....same. All of our good intentions start tomorrow especially when chocolate is involved. This one minute piece is DELICIOUS!

  • Debra A. Cole: Angry Child

Some kids have to grow up faster than others, and this child is no exception. Precociousness is usually charming in a child, but in this piece, it just make me sad for the childhood that has been lost due to alcohol abuse in the household. A thought-provoking short piece for any holiday short play festival.

  • Debra A. Cole: The Last Week

What a poignant and moving interaction between health caseworker and patient. Not everyone has someone in their end hours, but here, the kindness and dignity given by a non-family member is just what is needed. A touching piece for any 10 minute festival.

  • Debra A. Cole: The Most Precious Thing

What a beautiful short play. As the clock ticks, one woman must defend her life in order to live. Audiences will love this powerful piece.

  • Debra A. Cole: The Writing Bug

I would SO read Monsquitos. The Writing Bug is a great minute that all writers on NPX will relate to. Oh, and by the way, Evan, I have something I would love your feedback on...

  • Debra A. Cole: The Curse of Eve

Fascinating piece of history for women! Strong characters - big stakes. I think this would make a wonderful full length play.

  • Debra A. Cole: The Batter's Box

An atypical, tender sports moment in-between typical, aggressive behaviors - SO REFRESHING! A great opportunity for male actors to show a softer side on stage. There is true strength in kindness.

  • Debra A. Cole: We Should Talk

Tight and well constructed, this short play will resonate with anyone who has gone through a breakup.
