Joshua H. Cohen has written a stellar one-act play. "'That Sleep of Death' by Morris Uriel" is all I could have hoped for in a play about dreams and dreaming and the hazy logic of dreams and the in-between oddities created from waking up and conscious logic.
This play is dark, psychological, emotional, funny, metatheatrical, twisting and turning, thoughtful, visceral, and intelligent. The plotting and world-building are terrific, the protagonist is wonderfully formed. [24/09/25)
