3 really clear and specific characters with a lot of gorgeous dialogue in a play that really takes off into another dimension and yet is grounded in a dark reality. Beautiful work. Relevant and necessary for right now.

What an unapologetic play, with tension & heart layered on more with every shift. This play is also full of stunning lines that floored me with their poetic introspection. This play mostly takes place in a car, but the world (unfortunately not far off from our current one) that Saltwick has created for these mindful, playful, & determined characters stretches far beyond those doors & windows. Maggie & Lizzie really aren't asking for much: simply love & care. They could be any of us.

Sarah Saltwick's grounded, road trip drama of two best friends opens up into a magical space that envisions the road ahead. Sarah navigates questions of reproductive freedom, state oppression and the possibilities of youth with humor and compassion.
